Inspired by the wave theme, the Wave Walk unit used a drape moulding process and with finely polished jigs the bases were hand bent in an oven. The front and back panels were reverse printed onto acrylic giving depth and quality to the text and logos. The panels were laser cut and assembled prior to individual packaging according to territory and despatched.
Using the sole technology as the inspiration for its form, the ATSU unit is a metal wedge laser cut with a series of circles through which a thermoformed plate of spheres. These are sprayed with a ‘non slip’ paint finish so the product is displayed at an angle without sliding off.
The Active Air unit demonstrates the process of air movement in the sole of the shoe. This is a complex unit comprising of over 28 components in each. These include specially extruded clear tubes with separate air flow print within them and individual thermoformed lettering on the base panel. Assembly of each unit and correct packaging according to territory were all part of the production process.
We can now put our feet up as they fly off to International destinations.
